
50% of women have some degree pelvic floor damage that leads to symptoms of bladder and bowel dysfunction after childbirth. This damage leads to Pelvic floor Dysfunction (PFD). Other causes of PFD include poor posture, chronic coughing (asthma), inherited weak collagen fibres, chronic constipation, obesity and heavy lifting.
