
A recent study by the University of Queensland has found a strong link between TV watching and increased health risks(1), even in adults who engaged in regular exercise. The study looked at 2031 males and 2033 females with an average age of 47 years, all of whom engaged in at least 2.5 hours of moderate to vigorous exercise per week. Health risk factors such as cholesterol, glucose tolerance levels, blood pressure, waist circumference and diet quality were measured and recorded.
